Who we are
NB Console is provided by KW Software LLC. This policy explains how the NB Console iOS app and this website handle information.
How the app works
NB Console is an app for NetBox servers configured by you or your organization. Requests go directly from your iPhone to the selected HTTPS server. KW Software LLC does not proxy those requests or operate your NetBox server. The native crash-reporting exception for v1.1 is described under Optional app diagnostics.
Information stored on your device
NetBox server details
Server names and addresses are stored in the app's private local database. Version 1.0 stores recently viewed object identifiers separately for each workspace. Version 1.1 does not record new object views. History saved by older builds may remain on the device until its saved NetBox server is removed. Bookmarks are records on your configured NetBox server; Bookmark responses may also appear in the local query cache.
Credentials
NetBox API tokens are stored through the iOS Keychain using device-only protection. They are available to NB Console only while the device is unlocked and are not configured to migrate to another device through backup restoration.
Cached server data
Successful supported reads may be cached in the app's private on-device storage so revisited screens can show saved data before refreshing. Attachment previews use short-lived files in the app's private cache and are removed when the preview closes or the active workspace changes. Transient errors remain in memory. Recent search text stays only in memory for the active workspace; recognized credential and server URL shapes are not retained.
Device backups
iOS may include saved NetBox server details, object-view history retained from older builds, and cached reads in device backups according to your backup settings. A backup made before you remove data from NB Console may retain that non-credential app data and restore it later. API tokens use separate device-only Keychain protection and are not configured to migrate to another device through backup restoration.
Images
NB Console displays existing images from your NetBox server. It does not access your camera or photo library, or upload, edit, replace, or delete image attachments.
Purchases
Apple processes payments, subscriptions, free-trial eligibility, renewals, cancellations, and refunds. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app purchase identifier, Apple transaction and entitlement information, and limited technical information needed to operate the service, such as device type, operating system, locale, and currency, so NB Console can determine whether NB Console Pro is active. RevenueCat automatic device-identifier collection and diagnostics are disabled. NB Console does not send RevenueCat your NetBox token, server address, infrastructure records, screenshots, or cached NetBox data.
Information we collect
We do not capture behavioral events, advertising identifiers, session recordings, or remote console/network logs. We do not instrument NetBox requests, credentials, server addresses, infrastructure records, screenshots, or cached server data as analytics events. Version 1.1 app diagnostics, including the native crash-reporting exception, are described below.
If you contact support, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address and message. Do not send API tokens, server URLs, infrastructure records, or screenshots containing customer data. We use support messages only to respond and maintain necessary business records.
Your NetBox operator
Your NetBox server is operated by you or another organization. That operator controls its authentication, authorization, audit logging, retention, and other data practices. Those practices are not controlled by NB Console and may be governed by separate privacy, security, or employment policies.
Optional app diagnostics
This section applies to v1.1. App diagnostics are on by default for new installations and upgrades without a saved choice. No consent prompt is shown. You can turn Share App Diagnostics off or on in public or signed-in Settings. A saved opt-out is preserved. The choice applies to this installed app and survives sign-out and relaunch. Clearing app data resets the choice to on. Reporting stays off if the saved settings cannot be restored.
When enabled, PostHog receives sanitized JavaScript errors and standard native crash reports. JavaScript reports include error stacks, unexpected local-cleanup and settings-storage failure categories, app version/build, operating system, device class, and technical symbol identifiers. Our JavaScript filter excludes raw messages, full source paths, server addresses, credentials, server records, and search text.
Native reports bypass that filter and can include crash reasons, stack traces and file paths, app/device/operating-system metadata, and pseudonymous identifiers. Crash reasons can contain data referenced by the app at crash time. We do not supply your server account or purchase identity to PostHog. We do not capture activity histories, screen/touch events, screenshots, console/network breadcrumbs, or session recordings. Custom performance measurements are not enabled. SDK-generated identifiers and request IP addresses mean reports are not anonymous. PostHog also receives error-tracking configuration requests while the SDK is initialized, including while saved settings are loading with reporting off.
Turning sharing off blocks new JavaScript reports and calls PostHog's opt-out API, which applies to native reporting asynchronously. Previously captured reports may arrive afterward. JavaScript reports are queued in memory; the native SDK stores crash reports locally for delivery after relaunch. Its installed crash handler may retain local crash files while sharing is off, and re-enabling can send retained reports. Disabling does not erase reports already held by PostHog. Diagnostic retention and requests to remove provider-held data can be discussed through support. The website itself collects no app diagnostics.
Website
This static website does not use cookies, analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, browser scripts, or remote fonts. Your hosting and network providers may process ordinary request data needed to deliver the page under their own policies.
Retention and deletion
Local app data remains in the installed app until you remove a NetBox server, clear applicable app data, or delete the app. Removing a NetBox server removes its saved token, metadata, cached reads, and any object-view history retained from older builds from the installed copy of NB Console; it does not erase a device backup created earlier. Bookmarks and other records remain in NetBox until you change them there or through NB Console. Support correspondence is retained only as reasonably needed to answer the request, operate the business, and meet legal obligations. You may request deletion of support correspondence by contacting us.
Children
NB Console is a professional infrastructure tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this policy when NB Console's features or legal obligations change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
